The chicken meal, and other meat sources, used by Flint River Ranch contains no by-products.. You'll find no chicken feet, chicken heads, duck beaks, duck feathers, hides, hooves, or intestines in the FRR products.

The FRR lite cat food uses dried beet pulp as a fiber source. Beet pulp is, by far, the best source of fiber. It does a better job than other products in moving the nutrients through the digestive system and acts as a calming base for forming the stool in the colon.
Vitamins, minerals, and nutrients are first digested in the stomach, then absorbed into the blood through the intestinal walls. If those walls are covered with slime/mucus, then absorption of these life-sustaining nutrients is reduced. Beet pulp gently massages intestinal walls, removes excess mucus, and aids in bowel movements.
The Flint River Ranch Adult Lite cat food formula is nutritionally complete and balanced for older or less active cats. Taurine levels are according to the AAFCO Nutrient Profiles for Feline Food.
Feeding guide
Adult cats can be fed once or twice per day; whatever keeps your cat happy. Your cat should be looking for food when the next meal is due. Teach them to eat at mealtimes. The amount your cat eats in 15 to 20 minutes is about the amount they should be fed at that meal. Adjust the amount of food as you notice an increase or decrease is your cat's weight.
A 10-15 Lb cat should eat around 1 cup/day.
Fresh water should be available at all times. Maintaining clean, fresh water is as important for your cat as the type of food fed.
